Seven|Eight” (or “7|8” for short) recognizes the importance of fostering an inclusive community for first-generation and/or low-income (FGLI) APIA students. We are motivated to provide a space for FGLI APIA students to share their needs, concerns, and struggles especially as they navigate their undergraduate career. By hosting biweekly dinner discussions and workshops, we connect students with on- and off-campus resources, provide individualized support, and offer networking opportunities to deepen their social capital. We work towards not only creating a safe space and community for our members to freely express themselves and their experiences but also initiating change and garnering support from each other.
